VMware is the premium solution for virtualization. VMware is provided as "kits" –bundled of hypervisor licensing and features sets.

For single server applications with no management capability the ESXi hypervisor is available for free. The free ESXi hypervisor does not include the vCenter module for management of virtual servers.  In addition, the free hypervisor does not work with third party backup and disaster recovery tools such as vRanger or esXpress. These tools require that you have at least the Essentials kit.

EBS is a Houston based VMware Professional Level partner and we provide support VMware services and support from a simple virtualized server to disaster recovery solutions to data center solutions.

A major step up in functionality occurs from Essentials to Essentials Plus. Essentials Plus supports high availability (HA), thin provisioning and vMotion, which are not supported by Essentials.
